LEOMINSTER -- The Leominster Art Association begins its 51st season at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, at its new location, the meeting room/gym of St. Leo's Father John E. Doran Center, 108 Main St. 
Jessica Leger, the "Selvedge Queen," will be the guest demonstrator. Leger, formerly of Fitchburg, is a quilt artist who lives on a lake in Ashburnham. 
Leger has been sewing for 42 years, since age 9, and draws inspiration from all over for her Selvedge Queen garments and quilts. She love dragons, Wizard of Oz, animals, nature, gaudy jewelry and family and quilts from emotions, sometimes recreating childhood experiences, as a way to tell a story. Her participatory Runway Show, with supporting stories and quilts, tell her story.
